The 1974-1975 plane crash. Here's the photo! I had to clear out a bunch of boxes and there it was. The home it crashed into was on Silverton between Wyngate and Apperson, closer to Wyngate and on the East side of the street. I'm sure a drive by that area would reveal the actual house, it can't have changed that much. I see some rope/cord in the photo, not sure if it's electrical wires from the house or the ropes that the plane used to carry the banner, but the story was that the airplane was carrying a banner too low and it got tangled in some power lines on Apperson (I seem to recall seeing banner debris in the power lines on the south side of Apperson to the west of Silverton, between Samoa and Pinewood). Please let me know that you received the photo O.K., and let me know, also, if you have any other questions. I remember I was the only one there at the time with a camera, so this may be the only photo? Sheryl Heyser , VHHS 1978

The 1974-1975 plane crash.

Here's the photo! I had to clear out a bunch of boxes and there it was.

The home it crashed into was on Silverton between Wyngate and Apperson, closer
to Wyngate and on the East side of the street. I'm sure a drive by that area
would reveal the actual house, it can't have changed that much.

I see some rope/cord in the photo, not sure if it's electrical wires from the
house or the ropes that the plane used to carry the banner, but the story was
that the airplane was carrying a banner too low and it got tangled in some
power lines on Apperson (I seem to recall seeing banner debris in the power
lines on the south side of Apperson to the west of Silverton, between Samoa
and Pinewood).

Please let me know that you received the photo O.K., and let me know, also, if
you have any other questions. I remember I was the only one there at the time
with a camera, so this may be the only photo?
